Sustainability Ambassador since

Summer 2020

Arushi has always been fascinated by the beautiful intricacies and simplicity of nature. She loves each little thing about this planet - whether it be the way the sky changes color, a dewdrop sliding off a leaf, or the musical sound of a bird chirping. She became a Sustainability Ambassador in the summer of 2020 and is thrilled to be working with a team that shares her passion for a sustainable future. Currently, Arushi is taking steps towards sustainability in her own home and encouraging others to do so as well. She is interested in the science of energy and hopes to make a difference in her community through her work. Outside of school, Arushi learns Indian Classical Dance, Tabla, and Music. Her water footprint is 1,462 gallons of water per day, which is 19% below the average. Her carbon footprint is 21 tons of CO2 per year, which is 72% below the average. She plans on reducing both of these numbers by starting a vegetable garden in her backyard and using the bus to commute to/from school. In her free time, Arushi enjoys hanging out with friends and family, doing art, reading, and playing outside.
