Sanya Matta

Sanya is a student at Bellevue High School with a strong passion for environmental sustainability and youth-led innovation. She joined Sustainability Ambassadors to deepen her understanding of environmental systems and actively contribute to local climate solutions. Sanya is particularly interested in exploring how computer science can address pressing environmental issues, and she developed EcoSort, an app designed to help users reduce waste by accurately identifying proper disposal methods. In college, she plans to further study both environmental science and computer science to drive impactful solutions for a sustainable future. In her free time, Sanya enjoys playing violin, exploring new hiking trails with friends, and discovering local cafes.
