Writing for a Sustainable Future

The goal is to increase your understanding of local sustainability challenges and solutions, enrich your set of curated resources, and inspire your students with a reason to write. We will analyze a range of locally relevant sustainability topics, (Water! Energy! Transportation!) that are important to students’ lives, identifying entry points for expository, explanatory, journalism, short fiction, poetry, and playwriting. Like a mini writer’s workshop, you will be able to interact with passionate young leaders from Sustainability Ambassadors’ Youth Leadership Development Program who also love to write.
