About the Event
Skyline Town Hall @ School is a youth-led, annual practicum for civic engagement, sustainable systems thinking, and school-city-community problem solving engaging students and governmental officials in a “town hall” setting. The purpose is to empower students with the knowledge and skills to engage with their city staff and elected officials on current and needed sustainable actions based on the City's Climate Action Plan and Sustainable Sammamish Guide.
Student leaders from Sustainability Ambassadors will facilitate a tightly-packed, data-driven, 90-minute program that includes updates on current impact campaigns and input from City Council representatives, Sustainability Commissioners, and staff.
Student audience members will include Skyline’s Associate Student Body leadership, as well as representatives from Skyline’s Green Team, National Honor Society, Key Club, FBLA, Mock Trial, and Amnesty International student organizations.
