Expand your repertoire with ready-made lesson frameworks, informational text-sets, curated resources, tools, and templates designed for 6-12 ELA and Social Studies classrooms that empower your students in understanding a sustainable systems topic. Text-set examples will include journalism, science writing, policy, resolutions, short fiction, infographics, poetry, monologues, dialogues, and song lyrics. This workshop will provide practical ways to expand your instructional moves, increasing student interest, agency, and problem solving while strengthening core literacy skills. We will also explore multi-genre writing opportunities anchored in rich text-set models for water, energy, transportation, and zero waste.
