About the Event
This is real. And it’s really important to show up, speak up, and collaborate across generations so that, together, we can rapidly advance a sustainable future.
Town Hall @ School - Sustainable City Planning Series is an annual practicum in high school civics education, human geography, environmental science, and sustainable systems thinking. This powerful service learning opportunity includes a problem-based student call to action directly aligned with the City of Belleuve’s Environmental Stewardship Plan and the new School Board Policy on Sustainability. The practicum takes place in the classroom and in the community, kicking off each spring during Earth Month. The experience includes the following three elements: (1) an initial classroom inquiry, (2) a Town Hall event with city staff, elected officials, and community champions, and (3) student-led impact projects that measurably improve specific actions in the Environmental Stewardship Plan.
Facilitated by Sustainability Ambassadors in collaboration with the City of Bellevue and the Bellevue School District. Open to passionate students from all high schools in Bellevue.
