About the Event
Do you want to make a difference? Do you want to learn how to measure your impact against the actual goals of our city’s Environmental Stewardship Plan? Which of the 77 actions in this awesome 5-year plan can students have the most direct impact? What happens when what you are learning in civics and science at school becomes super-relevant at the local level?
Seeking passionate high school students from every high school in Bellevue.
Town Hall @ School - Sustainable City Planning Series is an annual practicum in high school civics education and sustainable systems thinking with a problem-based student call to action. The practicum takes place in the classroom and in the community of over two to five weeks including: (1) an initial inquiry, (2) a Town Hall event with city and county staff, policymakers, and community champions, and (3) student-led impact projects that measurably improve sustainable community conditions.
