Redmond

Sustainability Ambassador since

Spring 2026

Saeda Salieva is a sophomore at Redmond High School who is interested in leadership, community involvement, and environmental awareness. She is involved in several school organizations, including Interact Club, Green Team, AWARE Club, Art Club, and Wings Club, where she contributes to her school community in different ways. She also serves as a homeroom senator, representing her peers and helping bring student perspectives into school discussions.

Outside of school, Saeda participates in track and cross-country, where she has developed discipline and teamwork, and she enjoys art as a creative outlet.

Saeda joined Sustainability Ambassadors to better understand how environmental issues appear at the local level and what realistic steps students can take to address them. She is interested in making sustainability more practical and accessible, especially in school settings where small changes can add up over time. She has become more aware of how everyday habits like single-use plastics and food waste contribute to larger challenges, and she is interested in finding realistic ways for students to reduce waste. She also hopes to better understand how awareness can influence behavior within a school community.

Looking ahead, Saeda plans to pursue a career in healthcare while staying involved in efforts that support both community well-being and environmental responsibility.
