Lucas Wang

Lucas Wang is an eigth grader at Tyee Middle School in Bellevue, Washington. He spent the majority of his childhood in Redmond, among the vast nature of the region. From a young age, he always showed interest in the climate, ecosystems, and the world around him, reading numerous articles and studies on the effects of climate change on the globe. His trips around East Asia and North America showed him the reality of the climate conditions throughout the world, which led him to Sustainability Ambassadors.  In Sustainability Ambassadors, he hopes to contribute to his city’s Climate Action Plan and help spread the word about the ever-present threats of climate change. As a vital member of the Tyee Speech and Debate Team, he plans to use his extensive public speaking expertise to make a lasting change in his local community for a more sustainable future. He enjoys spending his time playing the violin in orchestra, spending time with friends, and wishes to pursue a career in business or law.
