About the Event
This joint Sustainability Ambassadors-WCS session brings together student sustainability ambassadors and WCS professionals to share each organization’s mission, structure and programs to identify mission overlap. After a 20‑minute panel, participants will move into a 30‑minute facilitated breakout to explore collaborative opportunities in King County, and identify one joint action to prioritize. Participants will explore numerous possibilities, including the generation of case‑study ideas for classrooms in Business, Computer Science, Environmental Science, Engineering, and Math. Potential collaboration areas include youth climate action pitch projects, help with establishing a Seattle chapter of Women in Cleantech & Sustainability, and building a cohort of WCS-provided Sustainable Systems Coaches to support a regional CTE educator network.The session will conclude with shared commitments and establish the foundation for future partnerships.
