About the Event
What does the data show? Why is this happening? What are the trends? Who is impacted the most? Who’s working on it? What can we do? Air quality and temperature have an interesting relationship, as temperatures rise so can the level of pollution. In urban areas, development has removed the environment’s natural ability to deflect sunlight, instead our concrete, asphalt, and buildings absorb and re-emit this heat, creating a Heat Island, while also trapping and concentrating pollutants at dangerous levels. Can we be agents of change?
