About the Event
Session 2 of a three-webinar series interacting with experts on the Green-Duwamish Watershed. Participants will work with Natalie Schmidt, Restoration Biologist from Tacoma Water to explore how the many different partners, some with competing interests, are working together to improve habitat in the upper Green River Watershed for multiple fish and wildlife species. Tacoma Water is one of these partners and because they take water from the river to supply drinking water for Tacoma and many other surrounding communities, they are responsible for developing and managing a 50-year Habitat Conservation Plan. Learn how they navigate the sometimes disparate needs of different species and work with other stakeholders to improve wild habitats for mammals, fish, and people.
