About the Event

Sustainability Ambassadors is developing a Regional CTE Advisory Community in collaboration with CTE Departments across King County to strengthen and deepen the work of individual school district Advisory Committees. The purpose of the Regional CTE Advisory Community is to provide professional development, content curation services, and instructional support for CTE educators through an Annual Rhythm based on the Principles of Educating for Sustainability with a focus on Green Jobs Youth Pathways.

Sustainability Ambassadors will support a professional learning community of 25 CTE Teachers from across King County and 10 exceptional Sustainable Systems Coaches, including women and people of color, who are not only specialists in their field of applied sustainable systems thinking, but committed to building learning relationships with schools, sharing career insights, industry trends, case studies, prototypes and tipping points, and providing feedback on instructional strategies.

This Workshop will serve as a “Community Kick Off.”
