Somin Jang

Somin Jang is a freshman at Skyline High School. She's a curious collector of interests. Starting from the environment, arts, sports, and science. Somin expresses her creativity through playing guitar and singing. She appreciates the diversity of music and as a part of the Skyline choir, she finds it powerful to make an audience feel something. Somin is good with digital design from working on a small Etsy business on which she sells products with unique designs. Somin and her family love to go camping especially during the summer. This sparked a love for nature in her and a passion to protect it. Somin also snowboards and plays volleyball competitively. Her love for snowboarding and the recent decline of snowfall has made her passion for sustainability even greater. Somin is passionate about protecting human rights and is actively involved in Amnesty. Somin also cares about the people who are suffering because of the neglect from governments concerning displacement from climate change. For both the people and the environment suffering from global change, she strives to make a change for the better.
