Seattle Rodriguez

Seattle is a high school student currently attending Albert Talley High School. Simultaneously, he has also begun studying at Pierce College via Running Start. In the future, he plans to go to the University of Washington-Seattle or the University of British Columbia in pursuit of a double major in Oceanography & Marine Biology. Additionally, he is incredibly ambitious about gaining a NOAA Hollings Scholarship to learn valuable information about water systems, atmospheric sciences, and ocean sciences so that he can apply it to systems in the Puget Sound. He aims to empower Indigenous youth by creating a nonprofit organization that empowers and supports Native youth pursuing STEAM careers to encourage them to chase their dreams, get involved in projects impacting the environment, and assist others getting involved in their communities. During the summer of 2026, Seattle was a Clean Water Ambassador Intern within the King County Department of Natural Resources & Parks and Mountains to Sound Greenway Trust, where he learned about environmental justice, wastewater treatment, environmental sciences, people's historical connections to water, and public outreach with youth. Moreover, Seattle plans to join the Youth "KIIS" Council at the Seattle Indian Health Board to help create actionable decisions based on sustainable public health for the urban Indian populations in Seattle so that events are rooted in educating and supporting all Indigenous people.
