Samayra Lal

Samayra likes to read, write, compete and create. Samayra is passionate about impact and information, and is always looking to educate. She currently is a journalist for the Sammamish Independent, and part of the IACS youth council. Through these activities, she hopes to inform and educate the community and build leadership as well as life skills. Her involvement in these various activities has spiked an interest in multiple fields such as psychology, business, journalism and law. For Samayra, sustainable practices run in her family, and have always been an important value in her life. Samayra believes that the smallest changes make the biggest differences. She strives to make an impact locally, which she hopes will inspire other people to do the same. Samayra joined Sustainability Ambassadors to explore the nature of sustainability further, and to understand how to make differences in different aspects of life. By participating in Sustainability Ambassadors, she hopes to make an impact on her community one step at a time and create a lasting difference.
