Saaj Bhatia

Saaj Bhatia is a sophomore at the Overlake school, and he is passionate about reducing the carbon footprint of his community. He spent the summer in his freshman year at John Hopkins learning about Sustainability Engineering and how to create sustainable buildings. He has been involved in Bellevue Youth Council’s Climate Change Team since 2023. As part of that, he ran workshops for 200 participants in the Bellevue community to spread awareness of small actions that everyone can take to help with climate change. Beyond sustainability, he’s interested in technology and using tech to solve social problems. He’s also interested in Robotics. In his free time, he volunteers at Kelsey Creek Farm and works on creating app to benefit the community. He joined Sustainability Ambassadors to advocate for sustainability in his local community and help meet the 2050 Sustainability goals of Greater Seattle Area.
