Ella Xu

Ella, a current student at Bellevue High School, discovered her passion for sustainability when she researched effects of bleaching and pollution on coral reefs in middle school, where a raft tour along the beautiful Nāpali coast of Kaua'i brought those disarming effects into reality. As a result, Ella was motivated to join Sustainability Ambassadors in order to find ways that her community can protect and preserve these environments, as well as creating a greener way of living for everybody. As a member of her school's Science Olympiad and Speech and Debate Team, Ella wishes to use her experience to further the initiative towards sustainability. In her free time, Ella enjoys teaching and playing competitive tennis, as well as participating in her school's orchestra. She also enjoys  creative writing, drawing, and photography.
