Ava Marie Spainhower

Class of
2028
Representing the City of
Kirkland
Sustainability Ambassador since
Spring 2026
Being a young entrepreneur and attending Telsa STEM High School, Ava could be called a workaholic but she’s so passionate about what she does, she says it hardly feels like work! Ava is also an active member of the community, participating in things such as Fred Hutch’s Obliteride and Base 2 Space, as well as volunteering at those events, she also enjoys volunteering at the PAWS Lynwood shelter and Lakeside Church. When she’s not giving her time to other organizations she admires, Ava focuses on her own. Her latest and greatest project was launching her own nonprofit! It’s centered around waste collection and education at local waterways. She loves every aspect of environmental preservation as well as the business side to her work and is thrilled to get to do more of it with Sustainability Ambassadors. In her down time Ava enjoys watching nature documentaries, working in her garden, going to farmers’ markets, walking along the lake and reading books about the things she loves. Her interests include marine conservation, environmental science, animal care, wrestling, youth advocacy, and art. Her lifetime goals include going zero waste, inspiring others into action and becoming an author.
Her biggest goal is to make her mom and dad proud, her biggest supporters. Ava wants them to know she loves them dearly and everything she accomplishes is dedicated to them wholeheartedly. Thank you Regina and Aaron for everything you’ve done.
