Ardra Arwin is an avid explorer of the sciences, environment, and arts. Her love for science began during the pandemic, when books and online experiments were her constant companions. From building a DIY water filtration system with rocks and her mom’s coffee strainer to making her own hand sanitizer when stores ran out, Ardra has always loved diving into different aspects of science. She went on to co-found her middle school’s first-ever science club and was part of the inaugural team representing her school at various science competitions. Beyond science, Ardra has a deep passion for painting! She believes art connects the mind and soul through creative channels, offering a peaceful way to express oneself. Much of her inspiration comes from her ancestral roots in India, where vibrant cultures and traditions are celebrated through color and form. In addition to her curiosity about the world, Ardra is deeply committed to eco-friendly, sustainable practices. Apart from being a firm vegetarian, she actively participates in environmental campaigns and researches environmental and equity issues both in the United States and globally. She aspires to make a lasting impact in her community and worldwide. She is excited to join a program that is dedicated to solving many of the pressing challenges facing our world today and a very sustainable future!
