McKenzie Toomey

When she is not on the soccer field, leading an ASB event, sketching, or acting onstage, McKenzie is the Bellevue Team leader in Sustainability Ambassadors. McKenzie has been in Sustainability Ambassadors for over two years, and she has loved every minute of her experience. She joined SA because she wanted to make a difference in her community and because she understood the necessity of action against climate change. She is passionate about the Bellevue Team, connecting youth to their city leaders, and using her voice to encourage others to take action. Although McKenzie plans to pursue the sciences at the University of Chicago, she continues to enjoy writing creative material for student-led events. She is confident in the knowledge that her time spent with Sustainability Ambassadors is helping to rapidly advance a sustainable future for generations to come.
