Sustainability Ambassador since

Summer 2020

Kiran John is a 7th grader at Pine Lake Middle School and part of the class of 2025. He joined Sustainability Ambassadors in the summer of 2020 hoping to find a way to make his community more sustainable using physics. In school, Kiran is a part of orchestra. He's also a part of a swim team and does karate outside of school. When he's at home, Kiran practices coding, violin, and piano. His goal is to be known around the world for his work in physics. His water footprint is 1676 gallons per day which is 7% below the national average. To decrease this, Kiran is taking shorter showers and leaving his bathroom tap on for less time. His carbon footprint is 39 tons of CO2 each year which is 62% below the national average. To reduce this, Kiran is prioritizing the use of natural light to brighten rooms.
