Gabrielle Heuer

Often hearing about issues like worsening pollution, dwindling animal populations, and increasingly devastating wildfires, Bree has journeyed through her teenage years feeling mostly worried and resigned to the consequences of climate change. Sustainability Ambassadors offered an entirely different perspective on the situation through the stories of its leaders. Bree learned real, measurable change is possible--that while there's work to be done, there's reason to be optimistic too.   Bree enjoys writing in both creative and academic settings. She's a strong believer in the power of compassionate yet persuasive communication to unite rather than divide. In the past, she has researched rainforest deforestation, the politics of climate change, and youth activism. She's been recognized by the Scholastic Art and in her free time she likes to read, hike, and listen to music.
