Sustainability Ambassador since

Summer 2020

Emma has lived in Washington state for the past four years and though she has yet to be accustomed to the dreary rainy weather, has grown fond of its vibrant green scenery and stunning natural landscapes. She currently serves as Secretary in her school's environmental group and enjoys helping her community and environment through Washington Trails Association, National Honor Society, and Key Club. She seeks to creatively spread awareness of methods of sustainability and advocate for climate change action through the Sustainability Ambassadors program to protect the natural world around her. Emma has always been fascinated in learning about the complexities of life, whether it's naming the various bird species in her backyard or becoming a University of Washington Center of Neurotechnology Scholar, and hopes to pursue a career in the sciences. In addition to her passion for the environment, she enjoys playing the piano, performing the oboe in a multitude of youth bands/orchestras across the Pacific Northwest including the Bellevue Youth Symphony and Seattle Junior Symphony, watercolor painting, and running (preferably not in the rain).
