Saturday March 17, 2018 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Build Community relationships. Develop relevant curriculum. Provide rigorous learning.

For this day long "laboratory”, teacher leaders from throughout the Green Duwamish watershed come together to study the issues, design new curriculum pathways, facilitate student-led community impact projects, coach their peers across departments and grade levels, and advocate for district-wide adoption of the best models.

PURPOSE: Empower teacher leaders serving middle and high school students in four Green-Duwamish school districts including Seattle, Tukwila, Kent, and Auburn, to design problem-based curriculum that can meet academic standards while serving water quality policy goals and performance frameworks. Selected teacher leaders will receive an 18-month stipend to lead a district-wide dissemination and adoption process so that a few well-supported leaders catalyze institutional change.
